NP Kids
We love having children at New Plainview. We also believe that parents, not the church, are the primary Bible teachers in their children’s lives. Our children’s ministry exists to come alongside families, reinforcing at church what is being taught at home.
Sunday Mornings
On most Sundays, children pre-K through fourth grade are dismissed after the song service and pastoral prayer, right before the sermon. They go to an age-appropriate Bible lesson taught by our rotating team of children’s workers. Fifth graders and up stay in the service.
On second Sundays, we practice family worship. The whole church, kids included, worships together. Pre-K and under still have a room available for the little ones.
On Sundays, we use The Gospel Project for Kids, a curriculum that walks children through the full story of Scripture.
Nursery & Little Ones
We have a nursery available every Sunday. Parents are given a beeper so we can reach you if your child needs you. We also have a wiggle room in the lobby for parents who prefer to stay close but need a little space for restless little ones.
Wednesday Nights
During our spring and fall semesters, Wednesday nights are one of the best times of the week for kids at New Plainview. We share a meal at 5:45 PM, then break into rooms at 6:30 PM — including dedicated rooms for preschool and kids, each with its own teacher.
Our Wednesday night kids lessons use Answers in Genesis, helping children build a biblical foundation.
